Re-Awaken  Yoga

When you breathe and move in ways you don’t habitually do, you start to find your wings. You find your own space for transformation. In the busy world today, we are not often in one place for too long always moving from one place to the next. Where ever you are in your life, whatever you are going through, I wanted to create a space for you to feel good, to take time for yourself, to bring you back to “now”; to awareness. If you are disconnected, Yoga can help reconnect you and keep you connected.

 

Re-awaken Yoga does just that! Our main focus consists of a growing library of Swoop In, Swoop Out Mini Yoga Series. Each series will have a specific focus to help realign, reconnect and “Re-Awaken” the body, mind and soul. Each series consists of 3 classes, with each class being around 30 min and a bonus meditation class that you can practice as much as you want for 30 days. With each series you will also receive a PDF that explains the meditation and a journal entry to refer back to.  All of this can be practiced on your own time and in the comfort of your own space.

Re-Awaken Yoga also offers FREE classes including movement, meditation and breathing techniques. These classes can be practiced anytime, anywhere as much as you want. 

 

 

 

 

In Yoga, we are heavy breathers. We work with angles in the body. We move our arms in weird positions, chanting silently or out loud. We move powerfully and vigorously, finding stillness and awareness, sitting in easy pose or having a good ol’ dance party. There is always something to do for everyone. You don’t have to practice yoga for hours at a time to have an experience or receive the benefits.

It doesn’t have to be intimidating and overwhelming. Instead of getting all twisty and bendy, we are going keep it simple and have fun! Let’s start slow, right now; breathe long and deep. Try it now. Close your eyes, inhale through the nose and silently say to yourself Sat (sounds like suut), then exhale through the nose as you say Nam (“Nom”, rhymes with calm). Do it a few more times. Do you feel that? Your body starts to relax while the mantra helps re-direct the thoughts in your mind. It can be that simple!

I look forward to connecting with you on the mat. Leave your ego at the door, take your shoes off, pull out a blanket, a yoga mat or a chair- whatever is easiest for you. Let go of anything that no longer serves you. I am here to help guide you, as this becomes your own practice in the comfort of your own space, on your own time.
